For a recent customer request, we developed a scalable concept for a high-precision line-scan inspection system – designed not only to meet today’s requirements, but to accommodate future upgrades as well.
The initial setup combines our 1050 mm PS Line Light with additional reflection illumination to make specific product features even more visible. Three Basler AG line-scan cameras capture the inspection area at a spatial resolution of 25 µm. The key advantage: the entire system is designed with modularity in mind – both mechanically and optically. This allows the setup to be upgraded to 12.5 µm resolution at a later stage without having to redesign the complete inspection system.
For us, this is what flexibility in machine vision is about: developing a solution that works for the application today while keeping the path open for tomorrow’s requirements. We regularly develop customized and scalable line-scan solutions for demanding industrial inspection tasks.
