The PS Line Scan Solution combines the strengths of photometric stereo with the speed and efficiency of line scan imaging. At its core, the system uses FPGA-based processing to calculate photometric stereo data directly on the framegrabber, ensuring maximum performance even in high-speed production environments.
The modular PS Line Light was developed specifically for photometric stereo applications with line scan cameras. Integrated drivers enable control of the four inclined lighting directions in less than 1 µs. Thanks to focused high-power LEDs, up to 6 kW/m² is achieved in a compact design with a working range of 40–60 mm.
PS Advanced is an integrated system solution for providing four matrix camera images directly as photometric stereo output images, including a calculated height map. Efficient processing on the GPU minimizes CPU load, and the GenICam implementation allows easy access to image data without a proprietary image processing library.
The Camera Mount Line (CML) enables simple and precise alignment and positioning of line scan cameras. By replacing the mounting ring, a wide variety of different line scan cameras can be mounted. The camera can be aligned around the X and Y axes (transport direction) as well as around the Z axis (optical axis). The rotation around the optical axis in particular makes this product unique and greatly facilitates alignment.
